The Webb School (Private = $31,365.00, Boarding =???)

The Webb School is a private boarding school and day school located in Middle Tennessee. Founded in 1870, Webb has a rich history of academic excellence with an emphasis on honor. Webb offers a vigorous college preparatory education for students in grades 6-12. Its small community is comprised of 300 boarding and day students and represents 12 states and 12 countries. Webb's friendly environment and emphasis on honor and integrity truly creates a place of character. A boarding school such as Webb opens doors to many opportunities. Athletics, the arts, and student clubs are all available and the school's structure makes involvement easy. Students benefit from the small size of 310 students as they have more access to the school's programs. Webb offers its international students the English Language Learner (ELL) program, a great deal of student support, and a memorable social experience. The 145-acre campus is located in a rural setting 50 miles southeast of the vibrant city of Nashville. Boarding students lived in a supervised environment featuring four dormitories separated by gender and age. Academic progress and general well-being are monitored by faculty house parents and the students enjoy a variety of fun activities both on and off campus.   

 

Temple Baptist Academy ($17,697.00)

The mission of the administration, faculty, and staff of Temple Baptist Academy is to stand alongside Christian parents, assisting them in the task of reproducing the mind of Christ in the lives of their children. Located on the 100-acre campus of Temple Baptist Church, just ten miles north of Knoxville in the foothills of the beautiful Smoky Mountains, Temple Baptist Academy has spacious and comfortable classrooms, a full-service cafeteria equipped with a commercial kitchen, and a recently-renovated gymnasium that accommodates over 700 for volleyball and basketball, which are sports for which the school is known. The soccer pitch, with the mountain ridge as a backdrop, is host to an elementary league, junior high, and varsity Academy teams. With low enrollment numbers and a low student-to-teacher ratio, the school creates a uniquely tight-knit and caring environment for all students. 

 

Saint Andrew's-Sewanee School ($47,030.00)

 Saint Andrew's-Sewanee School is a private, coeducational, Episcopal, day and boarding college preparatory school serving 255 students in grades six through twelve. Saint Andrew's offers students an innovative curriculum presented by a creative and engaged faculty who are dedicated to cultivating well-rounded and thoughtful human beings. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves in and out of the classroom while participating in a close-knit and caring community. The school currently represents 15 states and 14 countries and provides small classes, an award winning arts program, numerous sports and outdoor adventure opportunities, and a variety of co-curricular activities. Saint Andrew's is located in Sewanee, Tennessee on a beautifully wooded and historic 550-acre campus high atop the Cumberland Plateau. Sewanee and surrounding communities offer beautiful views, down home cooking, and more outdoor activities than could be accomplished. Its quaint downtown area provides students with a nice place to hang out and grab a bite to eat. Students also have access to the facilities and offerings of the nearby University of the South such as lectures, concerts, art exhibits, movies, plays, etc. For students interested in the urban scene as well, Sewanee provides a central location for exploring Nashville, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. 

 

Jackson Christian School ($20,619.25)

Jackson Christian School is a private, Christian school located in Jackson, Tennessee. Although created an overseen by members of the Church of Christ, the school is open to families of all religious backgrounds. From preschool through their senior year, JCS students experience a sound academic environment backed by Christian principles. Its faculty exists to encourage students to seek the best in themselves academically, and spiritually. JCS has more than 140 faculty and staff members, 63 percent of whom hold a master's or doctoral degree. JCS prepares students for the university experience through challenging classes, championship athletic programs and other extracurricular activities which expand the student's knowledge and abilities. JCS also offers a wide selection of excellent, award-winning programs in the fine arts. Set on 28 acres, the school's main campus has facilities for Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade, housing two libraries, science labs, gymnasiums, and multiple computer labs. In addition a large music facility and Early Learning Village were built to foster growth. Located between the two largest cities in Tennessee, Memphis and Nashville, there are a multitude of opportunities for cultural immersion of all kinds. 

 

Benton County Schools

Benton County Schools, located in the heart of America, boast a number of active and vivacious schools. The high school, Camden Central High School, is home to the Camden Lions, a strong athletic department. The school has great athletic teams such as football, softball, and basketball. CHS has a strong belief system, including that all students can learn and should have an equal opportunity to learn. The mission of the school is to facilitate learning for all students, regardless of ability, in a safe and supportive environment. The school has a very present Guidance Department, which provides assistance to students in the areas of personal growth and academic, vocational, and career planning. Elected Positions at the school include Class officers, Student Council, Mr. & Mrs. CHS, and Most Admired. The school also hosts fun events such as Senior Night, Boy Scouts Banquet, the Pinewood Derby, and Spanish Club Open House. CHS uses TeacherEase, an internet-based program that provides software for the digital classroom, which helps students access class materials at home. A local bank - Bank of Camden - even offers financial incentives for good grades, offering up to $1,200 per student for high GPAs.
